Hotel / Hospitality
In the heart of Flims, directly above the Stenna shopping and leisure centre, the first floor was converted between 2021 and 2023 into the ‘Stenna Lofts’, 26 modern self-check-in apartments with views of the village and the striking Flimserstein. The developers were looking for a contemporary accommodation concept that would combine the immediate proximity to the valley station and the shopping centre with a unique, high-quality living experience.
Check-in is entirely digital: a large screen handles the self-check-in, the room key is issued in the form of a credit card, and check-out can also be conveniently completed via smartphone. This fully automated guest experience ensures a hassle-free, flexible stay, perfectly suited to the location in the heart of the bustling centre, without making guests feel as though they are right in the thick of it.
The lofts are finished in light-coloured wood and a faux stone finish, complemented by a sound-absorbing carpet with a moon pattern in the circulation areas. Simple wooden structures bring together the sofa, shelving, bed, and bench to form a cohesive, seamless furnishing concept. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors allow the sleeping areas, with their spacious beds, to be separated from the open-plan living space when required, whilst a practical kitchen fitted with a coffee machine and dishwasher emphasises the apartments’ self-contained nature.
Three categories are available: compact ‘2-person lofts’ for couples, as well as ‘4-person lofts’ and ‘4-person lofts Plus’ for families or groups of friends. The sweeping views of Flims and the Flimserstein, combined with the cosy interior, quickly make you forget that the accommodation is actually situated above a shopping centre, a fact that becomes a real advantage in the evenings thanks to the short distances to shops and restaurants in the Stenna Centre. The lofts opened in December 2023.
